Preparation & Aftercare

A little preparation goes a long way. Here's what to know before and after your appointment.

Before Your Appointment

Important

Hair must be at least the length of a grain of rice — approximately 2 weeks of growth.

Skin Sensitivity

Avoid using retinoids, chemical exfoliants, or other active skincare ingredients for at least 48 hours before your sugaring appointment. Do not book if you have sunburned or compromised skin in the treatment area.
  • Drink 100 oz of water every day for three consecutive days prior to your appointment.
  • Enjoy a long soak in an Epsom salt bath the evening before your appointment.
  • Gently exfoliate areas to be sugared two days prior.
  • Refrain from applying deodorant, body oils, and lotions the day of your appointment.
  • Arrive in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

After Your Appointment

  • Avoid hot baths, steam rooms, saunas, or heavy sweating for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
  • Refrain from applying oils, deodorants, or heavily fragranced products to treated areas for the first 24 hours.
  • Keep the area clean and moisturized with a gentle, fragrance-free lotion.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 48 hours; apply sunscreen to protect the skin.
  • Wear loose, breathable clothing to reduce irritation in treated areas.
  • Gently exfoliate treated areas 2–3 times per week to help prevent ingrown hairs.
